~A Walk Down Memory Lane ~
Yesterday evening I drove down to the Homer Spit to the beach. I drove right up to the very spot where James and I last camped. I took pictures of where we had our tent, the big rock I cooked our meals on in the rain, the spot I took one of my favorite pictures of James as he sat looking out over the water sharing memories of Kodiak where we had met so very many years ago, and one of the beautiful sun shining across the water.
It was a beautiful day and was even an unbelievable 42 degrees in February in Alaska!
Then I picked up the one rock I saw laying where our tent had been and kept it. I then drove a little further down the spit and parked to spend a little time walking on the beach and collected a few more rocks for memory "project" I am doing.
Then as the sun sat I drove back to my motel room, drained of tears and emotionaly exhausted but somehow better.
